Dr. Robert Picker is currently director of the Alternatives in Psychiatry Medical Clinic, in Concord, California. He has been practicing general psychiatry in Northern California for about 30 years since emigrating from Chicago following graduation from Northwestern Medical School in 1969.

Dr. Picker completed a rotating internship at Herrick Memorial Hospital in Berkeley, California, as well as psychiatric residency training at Agnews State Hospital in Santa Clara, California.

Dr. Picker’s practice includes the spectrum of age groups, including child, adolescent and adult, as well as some geriatric. He sees a great many patients with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and is recognized for his expertise in this area.

Dr. Picker is also recognized for his accomplishments in the world of photography.
